Youth Group Christmas Party

ACV Student Ministries exists to Win teens to Christ, to Build them to maturity in Christ and to Equip them to become lifelong disciples who make disciples who make disciples.

Our Primary goal is D.I.S.C.I.P.L.E. making!  The following eight elements are a description of a disciple of Christ.  It is our desire to teach, instruct, train and model these elements in all that we do.

    • Discipline (1 Timothy 4:7b)
    • Integrity (Proverbs 10:9)
    • Serves others (Philippians 2:3-4)
    • Conformed to Christ-likeness (Romans 12:1-2)
    • Identity in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17)
    • Passionate Faith (Philemon 1:6)
    • Loves, Learns and Lives the Word (James 1:22-24)
    • Equipped to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)

This goal of disciple making can be accomplished by doing the following:

    • Winning teens to Christ through regular outreach events.
    • Building teens to maturity in Christ by offering growth level events.
    • Equipping teens to follow Christ through ministry training.

Win = Outreach

Our Student Ministry seeks to encourage teens to be bold with their faith and to train them in knowing how to share it with others.  Each year we expose students to needs locally, regionally and globally, and give them an opportunity to respond.  We believe that all believers are given the responsibility to carry out the Great Commission, and we seek to give our students the support and opportunity to do so.  Additionally, our ministry suports a cross-cultural mission trip every three years.

Build = Growth

Our Student Ministry is a safe place for teens to come and grow in their walk with God.  Every Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 PM, students (grades 6-12) are invited to join us for youth group.  Students will enjoy games, teen led worship, Bible based teaching and small group interaction.  We hold annual middle school and high school retreats and attend several conferences on a yearly basis – these are great ways to grow spiritually.

Equip = Train

Our Student Ministry seeks to come alongside of spiritually growing teens by providing encouragement, opportunity and training for ministry.  We have a Student Leadership Team (S.aL.T.), a teen worship band (True Faith) and several other opportunities for teens to serve.  We also have a great group of adults working with our youth program – these adults love God and love teens.

When We Meet

Our Student Ministry meets in the student Center on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM.  Our night includes music, games, relevant teaching and small group time.  All students are welcomed and invited to join us!  Come early or stay later for our Wired Café.
