Our Mission & Vision
Jesus gave his disciples a mission just before He ascended into Heaven:
Mark 16:15, to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” These words are at the core of who we are as a church, and the denomination we are a part of, the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
The President of the C&MA, John Stumbo, recently defined our denomination as “a Christ centered, Acts 1:8 family”, which means we are to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Therefore, Christ’s words & commission to his disciples is our mission at Alliance church of the Valley. We actively participate in missions in a variety of ways.

Mission & Purpose
Caring ~ We care about the things that our International Workers care about, and seek to meet their needs in tangible, relevant ways, so we stay in touch with them regularly through email, Facebook, texting, phone calls, face time, and communications that come to us through our National Office.
Praying ~ We have weekly prayer for people who don’t yet know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We also prioritize prayer for people serving as International Workers around the globe taking the good news of the gospel of Jesus in creative ways.
Giving ~ God loves a cheerful giver, and we cheerfully give to support International Workers in several ways. We give to a fund known as the Great Commission Fund, which supports all the “missionaries” around the world serving with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. 50% of that money is designated to support a team in West Africa, that we have a vital partnership with.
Going ~ We encourage people to go on short term trips, and we’ve had many teens and adults go on a variety of trips to El Salvador, Taiwan, Mexico and soon we hope to send a team to West Africa.
We would love for you to engage in our mission’s endeavors as well through caring, praying, giving and possibly going on a trip in the near future. Please join us in praying for our team in West Africa, and supporting them in giving.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
